Deaf, Get Closed Captioned Movies in Your Area

Did you know you can get Captioning for local movies.  It is your city on captionfish.com.  Log onto the site, then put your city and state and click “GO” and it will list the movie theaters that use Captiview Closed Captioning.  They will then list the names of the movies playing the dates and times that the Captiview is available.

The Captiview system consists of a small OLED display on a bendable support arms that fits in the theater seat cupholder.  The easy-to-read screen is equipped with a high contrast display that comes with a privacy visor so it can be positioned directly in front of the movie patron with minimal impact or distraction to neighboring patrons.

Go to:

http://www.captionfish.com/ to find out what’s playing in your area.  When purchasing your ticket make sure you let them know you want to use Captiview.  There should be no additional charge for this.

For my deaf friends in northwestern and Western Pennsylvania.  It is available in Erie, PA at Tinseltown, Cinemark at the Mill Creek Cinema 6, and it is also available in Butler, PA, Boardman, Ohio, Tarentum PA, Monaca, PA, and many theaters in Pittsburgh, PA.

I hope you enjoy this!  It’s about time.
